Rainer is a half brother to 88 - a gorgeous blue roan, blue papered top and bottom registered McCurdy gelding purchased from Ed McCurdy in Alabama as a 3 year old.

He has had 2 months pro western training here in TX. Rainer is safe, sound, solid on trails and smooth. He has a deep striding effortless gait and covers a lot of territory.

Rainer is also a versatile using horse with a can do attitude about everything. Extremely calm and affectionate.

She flew into DFW and spent 2 full days with us evaluating Rainer, and his progress with pro trainer Ray Weathered of Athens with basic Western Pleasure and Trail riding. She accepted the challenge to Cowgirl Up and see what all Rainer can do. We were all riding twice a day for 3 hours at a time on 800+ acres at Trace Trails.
Rainer passed all the tests with flying colors, going like a pro, for a young and green 5 year old. Even in the Texas heat in sandflats, up hills, thru woods and trails, he was steady, smooth, calm-- hardly breaking a sweat, with extreme stamina. But Cajun, Rio, and 88 thought they were all going to die!
Tammy will keep Rainer in training with Steve Foley, reining pro, western riding, and all around trainer in Mobil, Alabama.
This is her 2nd McCurdy Plantation Horse. We welcome her to the MPH Association and family. She is excited to attend the Fall Ride with her horses on Oct 3, 2015 at The Southern Sportsman Hunting Lodge on Hwy 80 between Selma and Montgomery.

Exotic Blue Roan mare, 15.1 H tall. Big hip and chest, keen & chiseled face. ------ This gorgeous
5 year old mare has had 3 and a half months professional training. She is very light and responsive to the aids. Sante Fe neck reins, backs, side passes and canters easily. She is bold on trails, calm, extremely smooth, and sure footed. She has never been shod, only trimmed, and has super feet.

I have been riding her over our 250 acres with 4 dogs, crossing water, opening gates, and pushing cattle. She loves cattle work. Sante Fe has a dynamic work ethic and is extremely athletic--she is a Performance Level horse. She is available Only to another veteran gaited horseman, who will use her in a working environment and McCurdy breed promotions. Her disposition is stellar. She has a good head nod , and a deep smooth stride, and a 4 beat fluid gait. Sante Fe is like Bo Derek, a "10".
